Street Cart Crunch Burger

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 beef burger patty
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Neutral oil or clarified butter for searing
  • 1–2 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 1 burger bun (sesame or potato), toasted
  • 1–2 tbsp mayo
  • 1–2 tbsp ketchup
  • Torn Iceberg lettuce
  • 2 tbsp crispy fried onions or potato sticks (for crunch)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Season patty with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear on a flat top or grill until cooked to desired doneness; top with cheese in the last minute and melt.
  3. Toast bun.
  4. Spread mayo on the bottom bun and ketchup on the top bun.
  5. Place patty on the bottom bun, then top with pickles, shredded lettuce, and crispy fried onions/potato sticks.
  6. Close and serve.
